Universitas Diponegoro – Semarang (1/9/2023). Universitas Diponegoro makes history again by conferring the most professorship titles in 2023, a total of 42 (forty-two) professorship titles. The event will take place in two stages. The procession to confer 25 (twenty-five) professorship titles will be held from September 5th to September 19th, 2023. It will be followed by another procession to confer 17 (seventeen) professorship titles. The ceremony will be held at the Prof. Soedarto, SH building on the Undip Tembalang campus. In one day, the ceremony will be divided into two sessions, morning and afternoon. Currently, Universitas Diponegoro has 195 (one hundred and ninety-five) active professors.

The Rector of Universitas Diponegoro, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, expressed his pride and gratitude to the 42 (forty-two) professors who will be conferred the title. “Thank you to the professors who worked hard and went through a lengthy and challenging process to become professors. Your effort and fighting spirit are an inspiration to others,” said Prof. Yos. He also mentioned that after the conferral of 25 (twenty-five) professorship titles in September 2023, another 17 (seventeen) professors are ready to be conferred. “The rapid increase in the number of professors at Undip demonstrates the success of the OPOC (One Professor One Candidate) program, which aims to increase the number of professors in accordance with the Undip Strategic Plan for 2020-2024, which aims to improve the quality of human resources with competence and professionalism, including by increasing the number of professors,” said Prof. Yos.

Universitas Diponegoro is one of the 10 universities among the 4,700 higher education institutions in Indonesia that has made it to world-class university ranks. Therefore, Undip continues to improve the quality of education with competent and professional lecturers.

The 42 (forty-two) professors who will be conferred the title include 5 from the Law Faculty; 3 from the Faculty of Economics and Business; 15 from the Faculty of Engineering; 3 from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Agriculture; 1 from the Faculty of Humanities; 3 from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences; 4 from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics; 3 from the Faculty of Public Health; and 5 from the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences.
