The 10th International Conference of Social and Political Enquiries (ICISPE) looks at how environmental policy is changing in a world that is becoming more and more digital. It focuses on how governance, communication, and sustainable development are all coming together. This conference explores green public policy as an essential tool for tackling environmental issues via regulatory frameworks and innovative policy instruments. This examines how sustainable governance can facilitate long-term commitments to environmental protection while ensuring that policy decisions align with social justice and ecological resilience. The conference emphasizes the importance of green communication and media in influencing public discourse, fostering environmental awareness, and galvanizing collective action via digital platforms. Discussions on international sustainable policy will examine the intricacies of global cooperation, highlighting how nations can unite to formulate a comprehensive strategy for environmental sustainability. Sustainable business practices will be looked at at the conference, with a focus on how digital transformation can help promote eco-friendly economic models, green finance, and corporate responsibility. This will make sure that economic growth is in line with environmental responsibility. We are honored to welcome a distinguished lineup of speakers for ICISPE 2025. These renowned experts and thought leaders from various fields and regions are poised to share their insights and expertise on the intersection of environmental policy, digital transformation, and sustainable development. Their presentations will delve into the complexities and opportunities of green public policy, sustainable governance, and ecological communication, providing valuable perspectives and actionable solutions. By bringing together a diverse array of voices, ICISPE 2025 aims to inspire and equip participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to address the global challenges of our time. Their contributions will undoubtedly enrich the conference and foster a deeper understanding of the harmonious collaboration needed to achieve sustainable development goals in a digitally connected world.

 

 

Satyajit Bose teaches sustainable investing, cost benefit analysis and mathematics, and serves as Associate Director of the Program in Sustainability Management. His research interests include the value of ESG information, carbon pricing, the link between portfolio investment and sustainable development in emerging markets and the optimal use of environmental performance metrics for long horizon investment choices. He is co-author (with Dong Guo and Anne Simpson) of The Financial Ecosystem: The Role of Finance in Achieving Sustainability, published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2019. His other research is available at the Research Program on Sustainability Policy & Management at the Earth Institute.
Satyajit has extensive expertise in investment banking, asset management, financial restructuring and automated weather risk management. Among other positions, he was a mergers & acquisitions banker, directed quantitative trading strategies at a convertible arbitrage hedge fund managing $1.5 billion in assets and developed machine learning algorithms to optimize weather-based decision tools.

 

 

Dr. Mary S. Mangai is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Pretoria’s School of Public Management and Administration in South Africa. She holds a PhD in Management Sciences from Radboud University and specializes in the co-production of public services, collaborative governance, and public policy. Her research focuses on crime prevention co-production, comparing strategies in South Africa and Germany, with the aim of contributing to safer communities by promoting collaboration among stakeholders beyond law enforcement. Her work has been funded by the National Research Foundation and the German Research Foundation, leading to publications in reputable international journals. Dr. Mangai is also involved in mentoring, action research, and community engagement, and advises students to build strong foundations in social sciences and critical thinking.

 

 

Prof. Tung-Hsiang (Sam) Chou is a professor in the Department of Information Management at National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, Taiwan. He holds a Ph.D. in Information Management from National Chengchi University and specializes in service science, customer relationship management, e-commerce, mobile services, Industry 4.0, IoT applications, and big data analytics. His expertise aligns with ICISPE 2025 by bridging digital transformation and environmental policy, particularly in leveraging IoT and big data for sustainable governance and policy innovation. As a plenary speaker, he will provide insights on how digital technologies can enhance environmental decision-making and foster a greener digital economy.

 

 

Dr Ellie Martus is a Senior Lecturer in Public Policy in the School of Government and International Relations at Griffith University. Working across environmental politics and public policy, Ellie’s research explores the role of industry in shaping environmental and climate policy. She also has area expertise on Russia and Eurasia. Ellie holds a PhD in Politics from the University of New South Wales, an MPhil in Russian and East European Studies from Oxford University (St Antony’s College) and a Bachelor of International Studies from the University of New South Wales. From 2017 to 2019, Ellie was a WIRL-Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND Research Fellow at the University of Warwick, and has previously held visiting positions at the University of Helsinki’s Aleksanteri Institute and the Australian National University.

 

 

Prof. Dr. Kismartini is a Professor of Public Administration at Diponegoro University, specializing in environmental policy analysis. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Universitas Diponegoro in 1985, her master’s from Universitas Indonesia in 1993, and her doctorate from Universitas Brawijaya in 2012. In January 2025, she was inaugurated as a professor, presenting her research on the “Pentahelix Collaboration Model for Sustainable Coastal Policy,” emphasizing the importance of cooperation among government, private sector, academia, community, and media for inclusive coastal policies. Additionally, Prof. Kismartini serves as the Editor-in-Chief of “Dialogue: Jurnal Ilmu Administrasi Publik,” contributing significantly to academic discourse in public administration.

 

 

Prof. Hartuti Purnaweni is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro. She holds a Doctoral Degree in Environmental Science from Universitas Gadjah Mada and specializes in Public Policy, Public Process, and Coastal Management. Her expertise is focused on developing sustainable solutions for coastal areas through effective governance and policy frameworks, with a strong emphasis on environmental conservation and management.
