Semarang – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro (FISIP UNDIP), reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening research excellence by organizing a Technical Workshop on the Use of Watase UAKE for Systematic Literature Review (SLR) at the BRM Antawirya Hall, FISIP UNDIP Dean’s Office. The workshop featured Dr. Lilik Wahyudi, S.E., M.Si., Founder of Watase UAKE, as the keynote speaker.
The event was initiated by the Media, Culture, and Gender Research Group, chaired by Dr. Hapsari Dwiningtyas Sulistyani, as part of FISIP UNDIP’s ongoing efforts to enhance lecturers’ research competencies, particularly in conducting Systematic Literature Reviews (SLR)—a methodology increasingly recognized in high-impact national and international scholarly publications.
The workshop was officially opened by Prof. Ika Riswanti Putranti, S.H., M.H., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Resources, representing the Dean of FISIP UNDIP. In her opening remarks, Prof. Ika emphasized the importance of equipping academics with contemporary research methodologies and digital tools to improve research quality and scholarly productivity.
“FISIP UNDIP is committed to continuously strengthening the research capacity of its academic staff through the adoption of innovative research methods and technologies. We hope this workshop will contribute to higher-quality research, stronger publication performance, and greater academic contributions at both the national and international levels,” she stated.
During the session, Dr. Lilik Wahyudi introduced Watase UAKE as an integrated platform designed to facilitate the systematic and efficient implementation of Systematic Literature Reviews. Participants were guided through the complete SLR process, including research question formulation, literature search strategies, article screening, data extraction, and evidence synthesis using the platform’s digital features.
The workshop also featured Dr. I Made Bayu Dirgantara, lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Diponegoro, and Co-Founder of Watase UAKE, who shared insights into the development of digital research tools and their role in supporting interdisciplinary academic collaboration.
The discussion was moderated by Dr. Lintang Ratri Rahmiaji and attracted enthusiastic participation from lecturers across FISIP UNDIP. Participants actively discussed the application of Systematic Literature Review methodologies in social and political sciences, scholarly writing strategies, and the integration of digital technologies into academic research.
Through this workshop, FISIP UNDIP reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening research capacity, fostering academic innovation, and enhancing international publication performance. Mastery of Systematic Literature Review methodologies is expected to support higher-quality research outputs, expand collaborative research opportunities, and further strengthen FISIP UNDIP’s academic reputation at the global level.
