SEMARANG – Students play a vital role as agents of change and serve as the main pillars contributing to the nation’s progress. To align student capabilities with a supportive educational ecosystem, establishing a solid bridge of communication between students and the university administration is of the utmost importance. Stemming from this urgency, the Department of Student Advocacy and Welfare (Advokesma) of the Communication Studies Student Association (HMPS Ilmu Komunikasi) FISIP Universitas Diponegoro successfully organized COMMVOICE I 2026 on Friday, May 22, 2026.
Carrying the theme “Building Change Through Dialogue,” the forum was conducted both online and offline at the PKM Hall, Building D, FISIP Undip. This event served as a dialogue space for the entire academic community. It was attended by over 100 participants representing active Communication Studies students from various cohorts, alongside 12 department lecturers and 19 committee members. The event was also attended in person by the Vice Dean of Academic and Student Affairs of FISIP Undip, S. Rouli Manalu, S.Sos., M.CommSt., Ph.D., and the Head of the Undergraduate Communication Studies Program, Dr. Agus Naryoso, S.Sos., M.Si.
The forum began with a presentation of descriptive data and charts derived from the student aspiration questionnaire, guided directly by the moderator. The questionnaire successfully mapped out the dynamics of lectures over the past semester, ranging from evaluations of the team teaching system and academic procedure issues to concerns regarding late-afternoon/evening class schedules and technical administrative hurdles within the study program.
The presentation of this data aimed to provide a clear overview of what students truly need and experience, allowing these matters to be synchronized with the department’s policies.
Following the questionnaire data presentation session, the event proceeded with a session for responses from the study program and faculty representatives. The event ran smoothly, filled with a warm sense of kinship. The lecturers expressed their appreciation to the students for actively providing constructive feedback for the department’s advancement. The study program management welcomed every point raised, particularly those regarding class schedule adjustments, the distribution of academic workloads, and plans for campus facility development.

In their response, the study program and faculty representatives conveyed their commitment to continuously evaluating the learning system on a regular basis. The explanation from the study program also emphasized the importance of routine, two-way communication so that every policy implemented by the campus can align with the students’ comfort in learning.
Led by Mochamad Saabiq Firaas Firjatulloh as the Project Officer, the COMMVOICE I 2026 event concluded with a group photo session involving the lecturers, committee, and all attending students. All the key points discussed will serve as valuable input to continuously improve the quality of learning in Communication Studies, FISIP Universitas Diponegoro.
Through this work program, COMMVOICE I 2026 is expected to foster a closer relationship between students and the campus administration, while collectively creating a better academic environment.
