EKOCHECK Vol. 1: Reflection, Evaluation, and Appreciation for a Better Public Administration Student Association

Within any organization, success is not solely measured by the number of programs executed, but also by its capacity for continuous evaluation, reflection, and improvement. Driven by this very spirit, the 2026 Public Administration Student Association organized EKOCHECK (Evaluasi Kinerja Organisasi Check / Organizational Performance Evaluation Check) Vol. 1 on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the FIMENA Auditorium, 3rd Floor, Building A, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro.

Initiated by the Core Executive Board, this event was attended by all departments of the 2026 Public Administration Student Association, namely: the Department of Cadre Development and Student Resource Development, the Department of Advocacy and Student Welfare, the Department of Interest and Talent, the Department of Scientific Research and Socio-Politics, the Department of Creative Economy, the Department of External Relations, the Department of Media and Information, and the Department of Social Community. The presence of all departments reflected a shared commitment to fostering an organizational culture grounded in transparency, accountability, and performance quality enhancement.

The event commenced at 3:30 PM WIB with an opening address by the Master of Ceremony, followed by a welcoming speech from the President of the 2026 Public Administration Student Association, Aldi Sandika Purwana. In his address, he underscored the importance of evaluation as a learning mechanism for the organization, emphasizing that every program should not merely be completed, but also deliver optimal benefits and impacts for all stakeholders involved.

Transitioning into the main agenda, all participants engaged in the Evaluation and Appreciation Session for HMPS Public Administration’s work programs for the period of February–May 2026. During this session, each program coordinator presented their accountability reports while simultaneously receiving constructive feedback and recognition for their executed initiatives. The programs evaluated included Safari Kurma, Design Class, Benchmarking 1, Upgrading, Ruang Hati, and Si Nomi.

The evaluation session proceeded in a constructive and participatory manner. Various achievements attained throughout the program implementation were openly presented, accompanied by identification of challenges encountered and actionable recommendations for future program execution. Through this forum, all functionaries gained the opportunity to learn from their experiential practices, comprehend the specific challenges faced by each department, and formulate strategic measures for organizational development moving forward.

Beyond serving as a reflective platform, EKOCHECK Vol. 1 also became a meaningful moment of appreciation for individuals and departments that demonstrated outstanding dedication and performance during the period. Through a series of award presentations, accolades were conferred upon the Best Functionary from each department, the Top 3 Internal Departmental Controllers, the Top Scorer Department—won by the Department of External Relations, the Department of Social Community, and the Department of Media and Information—as well as the Top Performance Department, successfully achieved by the Department of Interest and Talent.

These awards served as a tangible expression of gratitude for the contributions, commitment, and hard work invested by the functionaries in driving the organizational machinery. More than mere accolades, this moment was expected to bolster motivation, foster a spirited drive for contribution, and cultivate a healthy competitive culture within the 2026 Public Administration Student Association environment.

As the event drew to a close, the session was concluded with closing remarks from the President and Vice President of the 2026 Public Administration Student Association. On that occasion, both expressed their profound appreciation to all functionaries who had actively contributed to the execution of work programs and the organizational evaluation process. Following a joint documentation session, the official proceedings were formally adjourned by the Master of Ceremony.

Overall, EKOCHECK Vol. 1 successfully served as both an effective organizational evaluation forum and a meaningful appreciation platform for all functionaries of the 2026 Public Administration Student Association. Through this activity, the values of transparency, accountability, reflection, and continuous improvement were further reinforced as foundational pillars in realizing a professional, collaborative, and progressively evolving organization. It is hoped that the spirit cultivated through EKOCHECK Vol. 1 will equip all functionaries with the momentum to continue delivering innovation and excellence in the periods to come.
