FISIP UNDIP Hosts Exchange Program Info Session with Woosong University, Promoting Student Mobility

Semarang (04/29) – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Universitas Diponegoro (FISIP UNDIP) organized an info session on student exchange opportunities in collaboration with Woosong University, South Korea, as part of its effort to expand international mobility opportunities.

The session was attended by students from the International Undergraduate Program (IUP) across various study programs. Participants showed strong enthusiasm, actively engaging in discussions with representatives from Woosong University.

In her opening remarks, Vice Dean I Rouli Manalu encouraged students to take full advantage of the opportunity. She emphasized that Woosong University could be considered as one of the destination options for students pursuing exchange programs abroad and urged students to actively engage in the session.

Representing Woosong University, Ignatius Hanny, Regional Manager, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the student exchange mechanism and requirements, including application procedures, academic preparation, and study experience in South Korea.

He also shared insights into student life in South Korea, particularly in Daejeon, where Woosong University is located, providing valuable perspectives on academic environment, culture, and daily life.

The session also featured a sharing segment from a Communication Science student of FISIP UNDIP who had previously participated in the exchange program at Woosong University. The student shared first-hand experiences, including cultural adaptation, academic systems, and social life as an international student.

This experience provided practical insights for fellow students and highlighted real opportunities for FISIP UNDIP students to gain global learning experiences.

This initiative is part of FISIP UNDIP’s broader effort to strengthen international partnerships and enhance students’ global exposure. Previously, similar sessions have been conducted with partner institutions such as University of Pécs and other international universities.
