Planting Honesty, Building a Business: The Success Story of FISIP Undip Alumnus Fajar Gilang in Building a Culinary Business Empire.

The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Diponegoro University, again provided an inspirational sharing space through the FISIP Success Story program, packaged in a talk show and shooting/taping event held at the FISIP Undip Multimedia Laboratory on December 9, 2025. This program featured alumnus from the 2014 batch of the Business Administration Study Program, Fajar Gilang Garnida, who shared his academic and entrepreneurial journey with the academic community, particularly FISIP Undip students.

During the discussion, Fajar Gilang Garnida recounted his background and choice to study Business Administration, which was influenced by a family environment with a strong entrepreneurial tradition. While still in college, specifically in his seventh semester, he began to venture into business independently. His experience building businesses in the food and beverage sector through brands such as Padangju, Parjo, and Warjo, as well as developing a home cleaning service business, provides a clear illustration that the academic learning process can go hand in hand with entrepreneurial practice in the field.

Furthermore, Mas Gilang emphasized that business success is not solely determined by business strategy, but also by the values and character of the individual. He highlighted honesty as a fundamental skill often considered trivial, yet it is the main foundation for building trust and business sustainability. Additionally, he invited students to maintain consistency in spreading kindness and to remain open to learning. Concluding the session, Mas Gilang conveyed the message that with integrity, patience, and consistency, every individual will find the momentum to meet people who can push their development in a better direction, both in their career journey and in life.
