In the era of government and administrative digitalization, information transparency serves as the primary pillar in building public trust. The GEBRAKAN APR 2026 program, initiated by Public Administration students at Diponegoro University, is more than a philanthropic endeavor; it is a tangible implementation of transparent public service management theory.
Social media publication (E-Kontent) was selected as the primary communication instrument due to its inclusive nature, speed, and extensive reach. Through digital platforms, the values of empathy cultivated during Ramadan are transformed into powerful visual messages, bridging the academic world (students) with the social realities of the informal sector in Rembang.
The core focus of this e-content is the Documentation of the Distribution of 113 Meal Boxes, presented in a multimedia format consisting of:
- Documentary Photography: Showcasing humanistic interactions between the committee and beneficiaries (pedicab drivers, porters, parking attendants, and travelers).
- Documentary Video: A cinematic recording depicting the workflow, from logistical preparation to field distribution.
- Infographic Posters: A summary of the activity’s quantitative data, including the number of portions distributed, regional distribution, and the transparent management of total funds.
This publication is managed entirely by the Publication and Documentation Division of the GEBRAKAN APR 2026 Committee. The team is responsible for curating field captures, ensuring visual aesthetics are maintained, and drafting captions that align with the public communication ethics of Public Administration students. To ensure maximum impact, content is uploaded via a cross-platform strategy across three strategic Instagram accounts:
- @advokesmapekat: Representing student advocacy and welfare.
- @hmpsapr: The official account of the Public Administration Student Association.
- @publikundiprembang: The base account for activities in the Rembang region, aimed at reaching local audiences and relevant regional institutions.
Publications are conducted periodically and intensively throughout the program period, beginning on February 20, 2026, for the teaser and promotion phase, and concluding on March 4, 2026, at 23:59 WIB as the final activity report. This deadline was determined to align with the Ramadan activity cycle to maintain message relevance.
There are three primary foundations for this massive publication effort:
- Public Transparency: As a form of accountability to donors and the general public regarding the funds collected and distributed.
- Official Documentation: Serving as a digital archive for the organization, which can be used as a reference for similar activities in future years.
- Social Inspiration: Aimed at triggering kindness and inspiring other student groups or the wider community to care for the plight of informal sector workers.
The publication process is carried out through systematic stages:
- Curation Phase: Selecting the most representative photos and videos while upholding the dignity (privacy/ethics) of the beneficiaries.
- Copywriting: Drafting informative captions containing moral messages, technical data of the activity, and expressions of gratitude to involved parties.
- Simultaneous Upload: Managing posts during “prime time” hours across all three Instagram accounts simultaneously to create a positive trend within the campus environment and the Rembang community.
