Semarang, February 4, 2026 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Universitas Diponegoro (FISIP Undip) once again hosted an educational visit from a senior high school. This time, FISIP Undip welcomed SMA Al Hikmah Surabaya, with 70 students and 6 chaperoning teachers in attendance. The participants showed great enthusiasm from the moment they arrived on the FISIP Undip campus.
The FISIP Undip academic community warmly welcomed this visit as part of an effort to introduce the educational environment and higher education programs to prospective students from various regions.
Representing SMA Al Hikmah Surabaya, Mr. Rizqi Irfani, S.Pd., Gr., as the Vice Principal of Student Affairs, expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the reception provided by FISIP Undip. He stated that this visit aimed to broaden students’ horizons regarding the world of higher education, specifically to get to know campuses outside the East Java region, including FISIP Undip, located in Central Java.
The welcoming remarks from FISIP Undip were delivered by Ms. Dinalestari Purbawati, S.E., M.Si., Akt., on behalf of the Dean of FISIP Undip. In her speech, she welcomed the SMA Al Hikmah Surabaya group to the FISIP Undip “Orange Campus.” On this occasion, she also introduced lecturers from each department, who served as speakers, and presented the various academic facilities and laboratories that support the learning process at FISIP Undip.
Furthermore, students received information regarding various entry pathways to Universitas Diponegoro, including the National Selection Based on Merit (SNBP), National Selection Based on Test (SNBT), Achievement-Based Talent Selection (SBUB), Independent Examination (UM), and the International Undergraduate Program (IUP), along with their respective requirements and advantages.
The activity continued with a socialization session and an introduction to the study programs within FISIP Undip. The lecturers delivered the material interactively, keeping students engaged throughout the session. The participants’ enthusiasm was evident during the Q&A session, where students actively asked questions about study programs, lectures, and student life at FISIP Undip.
The series of visit activities concluded with a group photo session and a FISIP Tour. During this tour, students were invited to walk around and see FISIP Undip’s superior facilities firsthand, including the library, laboratories, classrooms, and student activity areas.
Through this educational visit, FISIP Undip hopes to provide a real glimpse into university life and serve as a reference for SMA Al Hikmah Surabaya students in planning their future higher education paths.
