Semarang, March 5, 2026 – The Coordinating Ministry for Community Empowerment of the Republic of Indonesia held a hearing with the Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Diponegoro University, to explore cooperation on internship programs for students. This activity is part of efforts to strengthen synergy between government institutions and universities in developing human resource capacity in the field of public administration.

The meeting, held on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the Universitas Diponegoro, was attended by representatives from the Ministry’s Finance, Human Resources, and General Affairs Bureau, as well as academic administrators from the Department of Public Administration. The meeting aimed to explore opportunities for collaboration in organizing the Independent Internship Program for students.

On this occasion, the Head of the Ministry’s Finance, Human Resources, and General Affairs Bureau, Imam Pasli, said that cooperation with universities is a strategic step to introduce governance practices to students from an early age. Through the internship program, students are expected to gain first-hand experience in the process of formulating and implementing public policies within the government.

Meanwhile, the Department of Public Administration at FISIP Undip welcomed the cooperation plan positively. The internship program is considered to provide opportunities for students to develop professional competencies, broaden their knowledge of government administration practices, and integrate academic knowledge with field experience.

This audience also served as a starting point to explore various other forms of collaboration in the future, such as joint academic activities, student capacity building, and strengthening networks between universities and the government in supporting better governance.

Through this meeting, it is hoped that the institutional relationship between the Coordinating Ministry for Community Empowerment of the Republic of Indonesia and the Department of Public Administration FISIP Undip can continue to develop and provide tangible benefits for the development of education and public administration practices in Indonesia.
