Semarang, August 2025 – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Diponegoro University hosted Prof. Valeria Paganizza from the Università di Parma, Italy, as an Adjunct Professor, in order to support the World Class University (WCU) program. This program has been running for one year.

In August 2025, Prof. Valeria visited Semarang and was based at FISIP for a full month. During her time in Semarang, Prof. Paganizza collaborated with the International Law, Transnational and International Crime, Global Politics and Diplomacy Expertise Group (KBK), chaired by Dr. Ika Riswanti Putranti. The series of activities carried out included public lectures, teaching series, workshops, international publication discussions, and coaching clinics for students and lecturers.
Several important agendas that have been organized include a Guest Lecture Series on global citizenship and international relations research, as well as thematic discussions related to international food law, fraud of origin, and human security. Looking ahead, this program is also targeted to produce collaborative publications in reputable international journals (Q1–Q3).
According to Dr. Ika, the presence of Prof. Valeria is a manifestation of FISIP UNDIP’s commitment to strengthening the quality of learning with a global perspective, enhancing international academic networks, and expanding Indonesia’s contribution to global discourse on food security, AI governance, and digital justice.
Through this Adjunct Professor program, Diponegoro University further asserts its position as a world-class research university oriented towards international collaboration and making tangible contributions to the development of science and public policy in the era of digital transformation.
