Semarang, October 27, 2025 — The Student Association of the Business Administration Study Program, through the Media Information and Communication Bureau of the Public Relations Division, has successfully held the 2025 Aspiration Forum with the theme “From Aspirations to Action: Driving Collaborative Change in Academic Life.” The event took place at the PKM Hall of the FISIP Undip and was attended by 342 participants, including students, lecturers, and academic officials from the Business Administration Study Program. This forum served as an open dialogue space designed to capture various student aspirations regarding the academic process while directly connecting student voices with policy-makers.
The event commenced at 1:06 PM Western Indonesian Time with an opening by the Master of Ceremonies, followed by the singing of the Indonesian national anthem and the Undip anthem. Subsequently, the program continued with remarks from the Chairperson of the Business Administration Student Association, the Head of the Business Administration Department, and the Head of the Bachelor of Business Administration Study Program. Each speaker emphasized the importance of two-way communication between students and lecturers in creating a learning environment that is more adaptive and responsive to student needs.
Entering the main session, attending students were given the opportunity to present their aspirations directly through the forum. Four students delivered in-person statements on various issues, ranging from the consistency of academic advising, classroom teaching methods, forms of punishment and late-submission policies, to the management of course loads and assignments. In addition to the aspirations shared live at the forum, the MC also read out a number of anonymous aspirations previously collected via a Google Form. All these aspirations were addressed openly by the lecturers, from the Head of the Study Program to several attending lecturers. The responses provided included explanations of academic workflows, plans for evaluating academic advisors, and adjustments to learning patterns.
The discussion forum proceeded interactively and constructively, offering students the chance to gain clarity on issues they have long experienced in the learning process. In addition to students, several lecturers also shared their aspirations and hopes regarding learning dynamics, making the forum a truly balanced two-way dialogue. This activity not only accommodated student voices but also served as a moment for lecturers to explain policies that are often poorly understood by students, thereby fostering a more comprehensive mutual understanding.
Through the 2025 Aspiration Forum, students gained a safe space to express their concerns and hopes, while the lecturers obtained a clearer picture of students’ daily learning experiences. The event demonstrated a shared commitment to driving improvements in the academic process through constructive dialogue. This forum also served as a platform to strengthen the relationship between students and lecturers while enhancing student trust in the existing learning system.
The 2025 Aspiration Forum is hoped to become a valuable momentum for enhancing the quality of learning in the Business Administration Study Program. Through open and responsive discussion, this event marks an initial step toward building a more inclusive, adaptive, and student-needs-oriented academic ecosystem. With forums like this, students are expected to be more courageous and proactive in providing feedback, while lecturers are increasingly encouraged to conduct evaluations and innovations in course delivery.
The event concluded with a joint documentation session and room cleanup by the organizing committee. Through the active participation of all parties, the 2025 Aspiration Forum stands as a tangible reflection that better academic change can only be realized through open, collaborative, and sustainable communication between students and lecturers.
