The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Diponegoro, officially launched a number of new facilities as part of its commitment to strengthening the quality of academic services and fostering the development of a higher education ecosystem. The event was held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, and took place in a solemn yet warm atmosphere within the FISIP Undip campus.

It was attended by the Dean of FISIP Undip, the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, the Vice Dean for Resources, heads of departments and study programs, field coordinators, unit heads, lecturers, and educational staff within FISIP Undip. The presence of faculty leadership and the academic community reflected a strong collective spirit in supporting facility development as a foundation for enhancing the quality of the university’s tridharma—education, research, and community service.

In her report, the Vice Dean for Resources of FISIP Undip, Ika Riswanti Putranti, S.H., M.H., Ph.D., explained that the newly launched developments include the renovation and strengthening of the third-floor FISIP Library as an international-standard learning commons; the enhancement of facilities at the Department of Communication Science to support practice-based learning and international classes; the construction of the S4P4 Terrace Garden as an open academic interaction space with a sustainability perspective; as well as the provision of a motorcycle parking canopy for employees. According to her, these developments are not merely oriented toward physical improvements, but also serve as strategic instruments to reinforce the academic ecosystem at FISIP Undip.

“The facilities we build are part of a moral mandate—to create an environment that honors knowledge, upholds human dignity, and cultivates an academic ethos that is honest, critical, and civilized,” she stated.

In line with the report, the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., in his remarks formally introduced the newly launched facilities, including the Department of Communication Science Room, the third-floor FISIP Library, the TERAS S4P4 Garden (Taman Edukasi Riset Akselerasi Scopus / Educational Park for Research Acceleration: Scopus, Submit 4 Publish 4) of FISIP Undip, and the employee motorcycle parking facility. He emphasized that these facilities are expected to support learning processes, research activities, and more inclusive and sustainable academic interactions.

In addition to the launching of the facilities, the event was also combined with the 2025 FISIP Undip Achievement Celebration as a form of appreciation for institutional accomplishments achieved throughout the year. These achievements included winning Third Place in the 68th Anniversary Carnival Competition of Universitas Diponegoro, as well as attaining “Excellent” Accreditation status for the Undergraduate Programs in International Relations and Government Studies, and the Master’s Program in Public Administration. This momentum further reaffirmed FISIP Undip’s commitment to continuously enhancing academic quality, governance, and competitiveness at both national and international levels.
