Public Relations Division, Student Executive Board (BEM) of FISIP Undip 2025
In an effort to broaden perspectives and build strategic connections, the Public Relations Division of BEM FISIP Undip 2025 successfully held the Networking Day 2025 on October 10–11, 2025. Carrying the theme “Navigating the Future: Exploring Careers, Expanding Networks,” this event served as a platform for FISIP Undip students to gain firsthand insights into the professional world through visits to prominent media and academic institutions.
On the first day, the delegation from BEM FISIP Undip had the opportunity to visit Kompas TV. During this visit, participants received in-depth insights into the news production system—from investigative journalism processes to strategies for managing viral news coverage. They were also introduced to the dynamic work environment of the media industry and interacted directly with Kompas TV staff, who shared valuable knowledge on professional journalism practices. The visit concluded with the symbolic presentation of special identification cards, signifying the strong relationship between BEM FISIP Undip and Kompas TV. This gesture is expected to pave the way for future collaborations, including potential joint activities when Kompas TV visits Semarang or in upcoming faculty events.
The second day continued with a visit to the Faculty of Administrative Sciences (FIA). In this session, participants gained new perspectives on organizational structure, work culture, and various flagship programs that could inspire further development at FISIP Undip. One notable initiative was “Teman Apresiasi,” a public relations program that recognizes the contributions of educational staff, students, and lecturers alike—without distinction. FIA also demonstrated its strong sense of social responsibility through fundraising activities for campus workers such as janitors and security staff during special events.
Moreover, participants had the opportunity to meet FIA lecturers directly and were honored as FIA’s first partner in conducting a benchmarking program. The visit concluded in a warm and friendly atmosphere at the Rotunda area, filled with laughter, lighthearted conversations, and group photos before the delegation returned to Semarang.
Through Networking Day 2025, BEM FISIP Undip not only succeeded in expanding institutional networks but also provided students with meaningful experiences to better understand the realities of the professional world. The event stands as a sustainable step toward shaping FISIP Undip students who are ready to contribute, be competitive, and adaptive to the dynamic demands of the global era.
