In today’s rapidly evolving digital era, the ability to create engaging and creative content has become an essential skill for the younger generation. Responding to this growing demand, the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Diponegoro, in collaboration with Honda Central Java, successfully organized “Vlogger Goes to Campus (VGTC) 2025” on June 2, 2025. Carrying the theme “From Campus to Camera: Create, Express, Inspire”, the event—held from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at FISIP Undip—served as a collaborative program combining education, practice, and competition in the fields of content creation and automotive culture. The program attracted students with a strong interest in the world of digital content creation.

VGTC 2025 was structured into three complementary segments: a seminar, a workshop, and a content creation competition. This series of activities aimed not only to enhance students’ technical knowledge and creative skills but also to strengthen the bridge between academia and industry—while supporting Honda Central Java’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment to empowering Indonesia’s young generation.

The event officially commenced at 9:00 a.m. following participant registration that began at 7:00 a.m. Opening remarks were delivered by Anto, representing the organizing committee, Egha from Honda Central Java as the event’s sponsor partner, and the Dean of FISIP Undip, who officially opened the event. The warm atmosphere and enthusiasm of participants reached a high point from the start, marking the beginning of an inspiring learning journey.

The core session began with a 120-minute seminar that immersed participants in the world of content creation. Professional speakers—experienced automotive content creators and digital marketing practitioners—shared valuable insights into crafting automotive-themed content that aligns with today’s digital audience preferences. The discussion covered the creative process from research, scriptwriting, shooting, and editing to post-production. Participants learned effective storytelling techniques, as well as the optimal use of popular platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. They also received practical guidance on using essential yet simple tools such as gimbals, clip-on microphones, and tripods. The interactive Q&A session allowed participants to explore both technical and creative aspects of vlogging in greater depth.

Following a lunch and prayer break, the event continued with a technical briefing for the workshop and competition stages. The hands-on workshop became one of the most anticipated moments, offering participants a chance to apply the knowledge they had just gained. Over the course of 90 minutes, participants engaged directly in the content production process under the guidance of facilitator teams. The practical nature of the workshop encouraged creativity and collaboration, as participants shared ideas and worked together to bring their content concepts to life in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The highlight of VGTC 2025 was the content creation competition, where participants showcased their best creative works. Entries were evaluated by a panel of judges based on originality, technical quality, visual communication, and thematic relevance to the automotive industry. The judging process was conducted objectively and professionally, reflecting real industry standards. The atmosphere grew tense yet exhilarating as the winners were announced, celebrating participants who demonstrated exceptional dedication and creativity. The winning teams received recognition and prizes from both the organizers and sponsor partners as a token of appreciation for their hard work.

The event concluded with a photo session led by the Equipment, Documentation, and Decoration Committee. Smiles of satisfaction and pride filled the room, reflecting the meaningful and memorable learning experience participants had gained. Running seamlessly from morning to evening, VGTC 2025 successfully integrated education, practice, competition, and networking into a single comprehensive and well-structured program.

Through Vlogger Goes to Campus 2025, BEM FISIP Undip not only provided students with hands-on learning experiences but also opened broader opportunities for collaboration between academia and industry. The program stands as tangible proof that synergy between universities and the business sector can generate impactful initiatives for student skill development. It is hoped that VGTC will continue as a sustainable program that inspires and equips FISIP Undip students to become professional content creators—creative, innovative, and ready to contribute to navigating the ever-evolving digital landscape.
