The Catholic Student Spiritual Service Activity Unit (PRMK) of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Diponegoro University will hold its annual spiritual event, titled Gabriel’s Day, on Saturday, September 27, 2025. The event will take place in the 3rd Floor Auditorium, Building A of FISIP Undip, and is expected to welcome approximately 80 participants. These will include members from the internal PRMK FISIP, students from other faculties, and representatives from PRMK units across the university.

This year’s Gabriel’s Day carries the theme “Becoming Messengers of Hope and Good News,” inspired by the virtues of Saint Gabriel, the patron saint of PRMK FISIP. Through this theme, the committee aims to invite Catholic youth to emulate Saint Gabriel’s spirit in spreading joy and hope to others, both through words and tangible actions.

Since the previous year, Gabriel’s Day has been established as a major annual tradition for PRMK FISIP Undip, passed down through successive generations of students. While last year’s event primarily focused on the faculty’s internal community, this year’s celebration is set to be more vibrant with the participation of invited guests from various other faculties at Undip. This expansion signifies the growing spirit of fellowship among the Catholic student community across the campus.

The event’s agenda will commence with a Thanksgiving Mass commemorating the feast day of the Archangel Gabriel, followed by a spiritual seminar led by Pastor Brian Jonathan Laluyan. Furthermore, an interactive session, games, and an awards ceremony will be held to foster a sense of togetherness and strengthen the bonds of fellowship among Catholic students.

According to the Chairman of the Committee, Rafaelino Galih Mario Aji, Gabriel’s Day is not only a platform for gratitude and faith reflection but also a means to strengthen the spiritual community within the campus environment. “We hope this event can nurture a spirit of brotherhood and inspire Catholic students to become bearers of good news in society,” he stated.

With full support from the faculty and spiritual advisors, PRMK FISIP Undip is optimistic that the event will be executed successfully. Gabriel’s Day 2025 is anticipated to be a precious moment for reinforcing faith, solidarity, and bringing joy to all participants and the wider campus community.***
