The International Youth Innovation Summit (IYIS) Chapter 10, organized by Global Youth Preneur in Malaysia and Singapore, is an international event that brings together Indonesian students aged 16–35 years old. This event serves as a platform for the younger generation to showcase innovative ideas in the fields of environment, health, economy, and education, while also broadening their horizons and international networks. I participated in a series of exchange activities from April 21–24, 2025, in Singapore and Malaysia.
One of the most memorable experiences was exchanging stories with participants from various regions. Despite coming from different backgrounds, we shared the same passion for developing our potential. During the event, participants were divided into groups according to their respective fields. My team chose the theme of the environment with ideas related to waste management, campaigns for the use of public transportation, social and disaster donations, and the creation of applications to increase public awareness of the environment. Through teamwork, I learned the importance of responsibility and effective task distribution.
In addition to presenting innovation projects, I also had the opportunity to visit two renowned universities in Asia, namely the National University of Singapore and Universiti Malaya. This experience was invaluable because it not only broadened my international perspective but also gave me a deeper understanding of cultural differences and education systems in other countries. From all these activities, I learned that young people should not be afraid to try new things and dare to step out of their comfort zone. IYIS proved that every idea, no matter how small, has great potential to bring positive impact if it is developed and communicated well. This activity not only added to my knowledge and experience, but also inspired me to continue contributing to creating positive change in the future.***
