Semarang (09/16) – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) held an Open Senate Meeting for the Election of Candidate Members of the Undip Academic Senate as FISIP Faculty Representatives for the 2025–2030 period. This event is a strategic step in strengthening the university’s governance and supporting Undip’s pursuit of a position within the world’s top 400 universities. Through this forum, FISIP reaffirmed its role as an integral part of the university’s collective effort to realize its World Class University 2025–2030 vision.
The event, which took place on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, in the FIMENA Auditorium, Building A, 3rd Floor, at the FISIP Undip Campus in Tembalang, was attended by the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., along with the faculty leaders, senate members, as well as FISIP Undip lecturers and educational staff. The proceedings were officially opened by the Chair of the FISIP Undip Academic Senate, Prof. Dr. Dra. Naili Farida, M.Si., and was presided over directly by the Secretary of the FISIP Undip Academic Senate, Retna Hanani, S.Sos., MPP.
In his address, the Dean of FISIP Undip, Teguh Yuwono, emphasized the importance of this moment as a foundation for strengthening university governance. “What we are doing is an effort to reinforce Undip’s achievements towards its goal of being among the world’s top 400,” he explained, while expressing his hope that FISIP could achieve more and contribute further to the advancement of Universitas Diponegoro in the future.
The series of events began with a session for the presentation of work plans by the candidates for Member of the Undip Academic Senate as FISIP Faculty Representatives for the 2025–2030 period. The session carried the theme “From FISIP for Undip: The Strategic Role of the Academic Senate in the Governance of an Excellent University as a World Class University 2025–2030.” This session was moderated by Dr. Turnomo Rahardjo, M.Si. A total of 11 candidates presented their respective visions, missions, and work plans: Dr. Nurul Hasfi, S.Sos., M.A.; Prof. Dr. Dra. Naili Farida, M.Si.; Prof. Dr. Dra. Sri Suwitri, M.Si.; Prof. Dr. Drs. Hardi Warsono, M.T.; Dr. Amni Zarkasyi Rahman, S.A.P., M.Si.; Prof. Dr. Dra. Kismartini, M.Si.; Ika Riswanti Putranti, A.Md.Ak., S.H., M.H., Ph.D.; Dr. Adi Nugroho, M.Si.; Dr. Nur Hidayat, S.Sos., M.Si.; Dr. Agus Naryoso, S.Sos., M.Si.; and Teuku Afrizal, S.E., M.Env.Mgt., Ph.D.
The next stage was the voting process, which resulted in the election of four Candidate Members of the Undip Academic Senate as FISIP Faculty Representatives for the 2025–2030 period. They are Dr. Nurul Hasfi, S.Sos., M.A.; Prof. Dr. Dra. Naili Farida, M.Si.; Ika Riswanti Putranti, A.Md.Ak., S.H., M.H., Ph.D.; and Dr. Nur Hidayat, S.Sos., M.Si. The results of this election will be processed further at the faculty and university levels.
The Open Senate Meeting was the final stage, following earlier steps conducted by the Selection Committee, which included registration, screening, and the determination of the list of prospective candidates. The Selection Committee itself consisted of representatives from the faculty senate, lecturers, and educational staff of FISIP Undip, ensuring that the selection mechanism was transparent and accountable. It is therefore hoped that the role of FISIP Undip will become increasingly significant in strengthening Universitas Diponegoro’s position on its path to becoming a world-class research university.
