Semarang (1/9) – This time, the Guest Lecturer of Master of Business Administration at the Faculty of Social Science and Political Science, Universitas Diponegoro raised the theme Writing as Research: Practical Strategies for Publishing Journal Article. This lecture was conducted through the Zoom application and presented one of the lecturers of the Management program, Universitas Bakrie, M. Taufiq Amir. Ph.D. The activity moderated by Dr. Andi Wijayanto, S.Sos, M.Si. took place at 16:00 GMT+7 and was attended by 31 participants.

Taufiq in his presentation said that certain skills made an article a research. That skill was writing. He also said that writing was not a separate part of a research. Writing skill was the key to a good article. However, this was rarely considered by many researchers in writing their research. In addition, Taufiq emphasized that writing could help us to organize our thoughts well. As quoted from David McCullough, “Writing is thinking. To write well is to think clearly. That’s why it’s so hard.”

Furthermore, Taufiq explained several things related to writing in research. Among them were related Writing identity, academic paper (integration between sections), writing the introduction, referring sources, writing method, writing results and discussion, and writing a conclusion.
