Semarang (21/03) – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) organized the “Ramadan Sharing 1446 H” event on Friday, March 21, 2025, in the Theater Room, 1st Floor of Building C, FISIP Undip Campus, Tembalang. This initiative, embodying the spirit of giving during the holy month of Ramadan, emphasized the importance of charity as a form of social care and the implementation of Islamic values in academic life. The event was attended by the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., the Chairman of Darul Ilmi Mosque’s Trustee, Drs. Aufarul Marom, M.Si., along with faculty members, administrative staff, and students of FISIP Undip.
In her report, the Chairperson of the Ramadan Sharing 1446 H Committee, Dra. Maesaroh, M.Si., stated, “This year’s Ramadan Sharing event is more extensive compared to previous years.” She explained that this activity has become an annual tradition at FISIP Undip. Maesaroh also noted that this event marked the final activity of this Ramadan. Earlier, the Muslimah Darul Ilmi had conducted study sessions in February, followed by visits to the Al Amanah Orphanage in Mangunharjo and the Roodhiyatam Mardhiyyah Elderly Islamic Boarding School in Sukorejo, Gunung Pati, as well as a Qur’an recitation activity. She affirmed that the Ramadan Sharing initiative was a tangible manifestation of care for fellow members of the academic community.
The Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., in his address, underscored the importance of charity by quoting the words of Allah SWT. “Allah SWT’s promise in Surah Al-Munafiqun, verse 10, speaks of the regret of those who passed away without having given charity during their lifetime,” he said. This reminder highlighted to all attendees the urgency of sharing as an integral part of worship during Ramadan.
The FISIP Undip Sharing 1446 H event was the culmination of a series of social activities held throughout the holy month of Ramadan. Through this program, FISIP Undip not only strengthened social bonds within the academic community but also made a tangible contribution to the surrounding society. Such initiatives are expected to continue and expand as part of the university’s social responsibility and the embodiment of Islamic values in campus life.
