Semarang (07/09) – The digitalization of administrative services is a crucial step in supporting effective and efficient learning processes. Through digitalization, students and lecturers can access various academic services more easily, quickly, and transparently. One of the digitalization initiatives taken by the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) is the introduction of the Sofi Application (FISIP Online Letter).
On Tuesday, July 9, 2024, the launching event for the Sofi Application (FISIP Online Letter) was held in the Auditorium, 3rd Floor of Building A at the FISIP Undip campus. The event invited all study program administrators and several student representatives within FISIP Undip. In her report, Vice Dean for Resources at FISIP Undip, Ika Riswanti Putranti, S.H., M.H., Ph.D., mentioned that FISIP Undip currently had several digital service portals accessible through the link fisip.apps.undip.ac.id. The active digital services include Sofi, eKonten, eSurat, and SkArchive.
The FISIP Undip Online Letter Service (Sofi) is a web-based application designed to facilitate students in handling academic-related correspondence online. By using Sofi, students only need to input their Student Identification Number (NIM), select the type of letter to be requested, and fill out the available form. Currently, Sofi offers nine services that can be utilized: Statement of Non-Leave Status, Statement of Ongoing Study for Civil Servants, Statement of Ongoing Study for Non-Civil Servants, Permit for Course Assignment Interviews, Permit for Research at Private Companies, Permit for Research at Government Agencies, Cancellation Letter for Internship Placement, Proof of Internship Completion, and Internship Application Letter.
In his remarks, the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., expressed his hope that with the launch of Sofi, FISIP could provide better and more effective services, supporting the achievement of a top 400 world ranking. He also emphasized that the development of these digital services aimed to offer optimal and excellent services for students and lecturers, ensuring that the teaching and learning process can proceed more smoothly and efficiently.
