Delegation Visit from The University of Queensland (UQ) to FISIP Undip: Building Strong International Partnerships

Semarang (12/06) – In this era of globalization, developing partnerships with international institutions has become one of the main priorities for universities. International cooperation not only expands academic networks but also opens up opportunities for students and faculty to participate in various international programs. The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) remains committed to enhancing collaboration with renowned universities worldwide, including The University of Queensland (UQ), one of Australia’s leading universities.

On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, a delegation from The University of Queensland (UQ) visited FISIP Undip. This event took place in the Senate Meeting Room of FISIP Undip. The UQ delegation included Nadia Sarah, Senior Principal Advisor, Southeast Asia, and Fitria Arsianti, Principal Advisor, Southeast Asia. The delegates were warmly welcomed by the Vice Dean of Resources at FISIP Undip, Ika Riswanti Putranti, S.H., M.H., Ph.D., who represented the Dean of FISIP Undip, and the Chairman of the International Office at FISIP Undip, Bangkit A. Wiryawan, S.Sos., MA, Ph.D.

During the meeting, both parties discussed various potential collaborations between UQ and FISIP Undip. The main discussion focused on the development of international study programs abroad, which are expected to provide broader learning experiences for FISIP Undip students. Additionally, the visit also discussed the procedures for exploring a double degree program between UQ and FISIP Undip. This program is expected to enhance the quality of education and provide added value for graduates from both institutions.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to continue further discussions on the technical implementation of the programs discussed. This visit marks a positive first step in strengthening the relationship between FISIP Undip and The University of Queensland, paving the way for closer collaboration in the future.
