In order to increase and accommodate student interest in research, Universitas Diponegoro in collaboration with the Tanoto Foundation will hold a student research competition entitled the Tanoto Student Research Award (TSRA). The activity is a collaboration of five universities selected by the Tanoto Foundation, namely Universitas Diponegoro, Universitas Indonesia, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Institut Pertanian Bogor, dan Universitas Brawijaya.

The Tanoto Student Research Award (TSRA) is a student innovation competition that offers real solutions for the community in an increasingly challenging world condition. The benefits that can be obtained by participating in this activity are:

1. Maximum funding of IDR 10,000,000 per team;
2. Potential conversion into lecture credit in the MBKM scheme;
3. All teams have a chance to get a gold medal;
4. Opportunity to collaborate with students from 5 different campuses.

Participant requirements:

1. Active students in Undergraduate or Diploma programs, preferably third or fourth-year students;
2. Comes from study programs in the fields of science, technology, arts, social, and humanities;
3. Committed to following the entire series of activities to the end.
