The National Achievement Centre Ministry of Education and Culture had held an online National University Debating Championship (NUDC) Competition of 2020 starting from September 24 to 30, 2020. It was followed by 112 teams from various State Universities and Private Universities in Indonesia.

Universitas Diponegoro had sent 1 team which consisted of Mutiara Noverita Arumdapta (Law), Amos Fischel Andoko (Economic and Business) and Kevin Rendra Pratama (Social and Political Sciences) to join the National NUDC.

Before the competition began, participants were required to join the Dummy Rounds which was a trial stage held to find out the readiness of the committees and participants.

The English debate competition was one of the self-actualization activities held for Indonesian students. The national debate competition among Universities was packed in a National University Debating Championship (NUDC) event. The event had been carried out since 2008 and had produced Indonesian delegations in the World Universities Debating Championship (WUDC) each year. This year, NUDC was held online due to the pandemic. So that, there were several technical differences in the implementation of the online NUDC.
