Semarang (25/1) The meeting of The Strategic Program Activities FISIP UNDIP 2021 and The Explanation of The Research and Service Schemes 2021 by The UP3 was held in a meeting led by the First Dean, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin. The meeting which began semi-online at 10.00 GMT+7 was attended by the Chairperson of the Faculty Senate and the secretary; the Vice Deans; Head of The Department; Head of study program or the program Manager; as well as several lecturers at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences,  Universitas Diponegoro.

In his remarks, the Dean of the Social and Political Sciences Faculty, Universitas Diponegoro expressed his gratitude for the contribution of the lecturers who had successfully contributed to the achievement of the IKU RENSTRA FISIP and IKU PTNBH which were quite gratifying. The IKU RENSTRA FISIP had been increasing from time to time. In 2018, FISIP reached 67.95%; then in 2019 it increased to 81.64%; and in 2020 to 88.44%. Therefore, the Dean urged each department in 2021 to equalize and maximize its contribution. In addition, he also appealed to all staffs to be more responsive in utilizing their IT knowladge in order to obtain higher quality results.

Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Universitas Diponegoro also had a policy to strengthen its international standards of education. Such as, the Smart Classroom which was currently being prepared. Meanwhile, the University had also prepared its policies related to targeted performance improvements. For example, a policy called Transfer of Function, from contract workers to permanent non-PNS employees, and provided trainings for the Tendik (Educator Staff).

The Dean of the Social and Political Science Faculty also mentioned that in the socialization of the development of master plan at the University, it was mentioned the weaknesses of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro. Such as, the research data base that should be optimalized, and the laboratory equipment that needs to be upgraded. In addition, the participation of FISIP UNDIP’s lecturers in research was also not evenly distributed.

“Meanwhile, the threat in the future will be the national and global competition which is getting tougher, and other National Universities that are more progressive,” explained Dr. Drs. Hardi Warsono, MTP.

The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences also had several advantages. Among them were its status as the PTNBH which provided flexibility in accessing reputable journal data bases; the increasing number of the research funding from various human resources with doctoral qualifications; and the large number of its staffs participating in competitive research.
