Semarang, February 12, 2026 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Diponegoro University officially opened the 2026 FISIP Undip Student Selection for Outstanding Achievement (Pilmapres) at the Antawirya Meeting Room, Building A, 1st Floor. This activity is part of the faculty’s commitment to selecting, fostering, and preparing high-achieving students who possess academic excellence, leadership qualities, and tangible contributions to society. The event began with participant registration, followed by the official opening by the Master of Ceremony (MC). A solemn atmosphere was felt as all participants and committees jointly sang the Indonesian national anthem “Indonesia Raya” and the Undip March as a manifestation of nationalism and institutional pride.

The Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin, in his speech, emphasized that Pilmapres is a strategic platform to shape the profile of outstanding graduates who are not only academically proficient but also possess integrity, adaptability, and competitiveness at the national and international levels. “High-achieving students are the campus’s intellectual ambassadors. Through this selection, FISIP Undip aims to ensure the assessment process runs objectively, transparently, and encourages the development of students’ best potential,” he stated.

Furthermore, the Coordinator of the Presma and PKM Team at FISIP Undip, Anjani Tri Fatharini, S.IP., M.A., provided a technical explanation of the selection process. The selection stages include an assessment of outstanding achievements, creative ideas, and communication skills, including an interview in English. Participants were then directed to their respective interview rooms to begin the judging process. The judging was conducted in parallel across three thematic rooms: the Sumpah Pemuda Room (Outstanding Achievements), the Kebangkitan Nasional Room (Creative Ideas), and the Boedi Oetomo Room (English Language). Each room was overseen by a team of competent judges in their respective fields to ensure a comprehensive and balanced assessment of participants’ competencies.

Through the implementation of the 2026 Pilmapres Selection, FISIP Undip hopes to produce high-achieving students capable of representing the faculty and university at the university-level and national Pilmapres events. This activity also reinforces FISIP Undip’s role in shaping a young generation that is characterized, innovative, and contributes to national development.
