Semarang (03/02) – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) held its 181st Yudisium Ceremony on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. Held in the FIMENA Auditorium, Building A 3rd Floor, Tembalang, the event underscored that the learning process does not end in the lecture hall but must become a lifelong commitment to address the challenges of an ever-changing world. The single-session ceremony was attended by 202 graduating students from all departments, along with their parents/guardians, as part of the academic community.
In the Academic Activity Report, the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, S Rouli Manalu, S.Sos., MCommSt., PhD., revealed the composition of graduates across various levels. This included 3 candidates for a Doctorate in Public Administration (S3), 3 for a Doctorate in Social Sciences (S3), 6 for a Master’s in Public Administration (S2), 6 for a Master’s in Political Science (S2), 7 for a Master’s in Communication Science (S2), 14 for a Master’s in Business Administration (S2), 53 for a Bachelor’s in Public Administration (S1), 25 for a Bachelor’s in Public Administration from the Rembang PSDKU campus (S1), 21 for a Bachelor’s in Government Studies (S1), 24 for a Bachelor’s in Communication Science (S1), 26 for a Bachelor’s in Business Administration (S1), and 12 for a Bachelor’s in International Relations (S1).
Beyond the data, she conveyed a profound message about the nature of success. “The most important provision we wish to entrust to you is the will to keep learning,” she emphasized. She reminded the attendees that true success lies in the capacity for continuous growth and creating meaning, extending beyond mere career achievements.
The message of lifelong learning and tangible contribution was echoed in the speech by the prospective graduates representative, Muhammad Daffa Alfirrosy from the Undergraduate of Public Administration Study Program. He expressed gratitude and highlighted the transition from the academic to the professional world. “The world out there will not ask about our GPA every day, but it will ask what we can contribute,” he stated. This remark encouraged all graduates to shift their focus from grade point averages to the value and impact they can create in society.
Furthermore, the synergy between all parties as the foundation of academic success was emphasized by Kombes Pol M. Anggi Naulifar Siregar, S.IK., M.Si., representing the parents of the prospective graduates. “We realize that today’s achievements are not solely the result of the students’ efforts, but also the outcome of synergy between family, the educational institution, and a supportive academic environment,” he expressed. He hopes that the knowledge gained becomes a tool for broader contribution.
Additionally, the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., in his address, highlighted the faculty’s spectacular achievements in 2025. These included the highest Scopus productivity, a 100% “Unggul” (Excellent) accreditation status, and world-class facilities. “Today, students, alumni, and parents are partners in collaborating towards ‘Conquering The World’ (…) all contributing to the advancement of our Faculty,” he urged. While speaking of these lofty achievements, he advised humility. “However high we climb, the earth never recedes. It faithfully awaits the soles of our feet, which will one day return. Therefore, do not let the heights make us forget how to bow.” He concluded.
The meaningful event concluded with a rendition of the song “Ayah” (Father) performed by the Dean and a special performance by a team of lecturers from the five departments within FISIP Undip, completing the atmosphere of joy and pride at the 181st FISIP Undip Yudisium Ceremony.
