Semarang (28/1) – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) launched a two-day “Writing Camp on Campus: Systematic Literature Review” on Wednesday, January 28 and Thursday, January 29, 2026. Commencing at 8:00 AM Western Indonesia Time, this event is a strategic initiative designed to strengthen the culture of scholarly writing, accelerate manuscript completion, and boost publications in reputable journals.

The first day began with an address from the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin. In his remarks, the Dean reaffirmed the faculty’s steadfast commitment to consistently pursuing reputable international publication targets. “We will never take a single step backward in our commitment to achieving Scopus-indexed publication targets,” he stated.

Echoing this spirit, the Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, Cooperation, and Public Communication, Wijayanto, S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D., expressed institutional support while sharing practical experiences in building writing habits, maintaining research consistency, and finalizing manuscripts for submission. Affectionately known as Pak Wija, he revealed that a writing camp of this kind had been his personal dream since returning from his studies at Leiden University.

The scientific event was attended by FISIP Undip’s leadership and academic community, including Faculty Leaders, Study Program Administrators, Field Coordinators, and, crucially, the Heads and Members of cross-departmental Academic Expertise Cluster (Kelompok Bidang Keahlian/KBK), ensuring the writing acceleration process functions as a collective effort.

The core session of the first day featured a presentation by Adriyan Pramono, PhD, on the topic “Writing Systematic Literature Review for Reputable Journals.” This session provided participants with both conceptual reinforcement and practical guidance on composing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). This included mapping issues and formulating SLR research questions, developing literature search strategies using various scientific article directories/websites, understanding the systematic article selection flow using PRISMA, the judicious use of AI to support the writing process, and hands-on practice to formulate an SLR work plan ready to be developed into an article manuscript.

Following the midday break (ISHOMA), the camp continued with its core writing sessions: Writing Session 1 (1:00–2:30 PM) and Writing Session 2 (2:45–3:45 PM), facilitated by a team from the Reputable Publication Service Unit, led by Kholidil Amin, M.I.Kom. The target for the first day was for participants to have defined their SLR topic and begun collecting literature from various reputable journal repositories.

Specifically, the first day’s activities are intended to equip FISIP Undip academics with both the material and the motivation to accelerate their scholarly article writing. More broadly, the Writing Camp on Campus is expected to strengthen the academic writing ecosystem within FISIP Undip and increase the readiness of manuscripts for submission to reputable journals.
