Semarang, January 26, 2026 — Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) organized the 2025 Universitas Diponegoro Christmas Celebration on Monday (1/26/2026) at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP). The event was attended by lecturers, educational staff, students, and the broader Undip academic community.
This year’s celebration carried the theme “God is Present to Save the Family,” serving as a reminder of the importance of faith, unity, and compassion in both family life and the campus community.
The series of events commenced with a welcome address by the Chair of the Christian Fellowship (PUK) of Universitas Diponegoro, Prof. Ir. Didik Wisnu Widjajanto, M.Sc., Ph.D. In his remarks, he emphasized that the Christmas Celebration is a moment for reflecting on faith and unity as one Undip family.
“The theme ‘God is Present to Save the Family’ affirms that God’s love and salvation are manifested through relationships, service, and care. Through this Christmas Celebration, the Undip Christian Fellowship hopes that the values of love, hope, and sincerity will continue to thrive in academic life, in line with the spirit of Undip Bermartabat (Undip Noble) and Undip Bermanfaat (Undip Valuable),” he stated.
The next address was delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Universitas Diponegoro, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin. He expressed his appreciation for the trust placed in FISIP Undip to host the university’s Christmas celebration.
“FISIP Undip is delighted to host the Universitas Diponegoro Christmas Celebration and is committed to providing the best service. It is hoped that the Christmas spirit will further strengthen the values of compassion, humanity, and service in shaping noble and valuable academic individuals for society,” he said.
The 2025 Universitas Diponegoro Christmas Celebration was officially opened by the Rector of Universitas Diponegoro, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si. In his opening speech, the Rector reaffirmed Undip’s commitment to building academic excellence grounded in humanitarian values and character.

“Universitas Diponegoro is oriented not only toward academic excellence but also toward character building and humanitarian values. This Christmas celebration serves as a reminder that the family, both the nuclear family and the broader campus family, is the primary foundation for building a civilized society. In the spirit of Christmas, let us continue to strengthen our commitment to Undip Bermartabat through integrity and moral values, as well as Undip Bermanfaat through tangible contributions to the nation and society,” he asserted.
The Christmas service proceeded solemnly with a sermon delivered by Rm. JB. Ibnu Fajar Muchammad, MSF, who emphasized God’s presence as a source of healing and hope for families. A Christmas message was also shared by Pdm. Yehezkiel Adrianus Feri Susanto, S.AB., M.Th., who invited all participants to embody the values of love, forgiveness, and compassion in building an inclusive family and campus community.
Through the 2025 Universitas Diponegoro Christmas Celebration, Undip once again affirms its identity as a university that excels not only academically but also upholds the values of humanity, tolerance, and unity in diversity, in harmony with the spirit of Undip Noble and Undip Valuable.
