Semarang, December 17, 2025 – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Diponegoro University is continuously improving its facilities to create a comfortable, healthy, and academically supportive campus environment. One such initiative is the provision of high-quality pure drinking water facilities within the faculty grounds.

As part of the program to enhance supporting facilities, five units of drinking water purifiers have been installed today in several strategic locations across FISIP UNDIP. Three units have been installed in Building D, with the other two units located in the Building B–C area, ensuring easy access for the academic community across various campus zones.

The provided water facilities are not conventional dispensers. Instead, they utilize a water purification system with multi-layer filtration technology. This technology is designed to produce pure drinking water with consistent quality, improved hygiene, and safety for consumption. The presence of this system is expected to provide convenient access to suitable drinking water for lecturers, administrative staff, and students in their daily activities within the faculty.

Beyond enhancing comfort, the provision of these high-quality pure drinking water facilities aligns with FISIP UNDIP’s efforts to promote a healthy lifestyle and reduce single-use plastic consumption on campus. With readily accessible drinking water, the academic community is encouraged to reduce reliance on bottled water.

FISIP UNDIP hopes that this facility will be utilized optimally and maintained collectively by the entire academic community so that its benefits can be enjoyed sustainably. Moving forward, FISIP UNDIP will continue to develop and evaluate other support facilities to foster an even better academic environment.
