Semarang – The Undergraduate Program (S1) in Government Science, Department of Politics and Government Science, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Diponegoro University, has successfully achieved the “Excellent” Accreditation rating from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). This accomplishment signifies recognition of the program’s consistency in maintaining and improving the quality of higher education.

The determination of this “Excellent” Accreditation is stipulated in the BAN-PT Decree Number 8541/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/S/XII/2025, established on December 10, 2025. This rating is the result of a comprehensive evaluation on the implementation of the three pillars of higher education, institutional governance, the quality of human resources, as well as the academic and non-academic outcomes of the study program.

The Head of the Government Science Undergraduate Program, Dr. Phil Wahid Abdurrahman, S.IP., M.IP., expressed his gratitude and appreciation for this achievement. According to him, achieving the “Excellent” Accreditation is the result of collective efforts carried out continuously by the entire academic community.

“Alhamdulillah, we are grateful for this Excellent Accreditation achievement. This success is inseparable from the dedication of the lecturers and educational staff, the support of the faculty leadership, the active participation of students, as well as the contributions from alumni and our partners. This motivates us to continue improving the quality of education and academic services,” he said.

Furthermore, he emphasized that Excellent Accreditation is not the ultimate goal, but rather a responsibility to keep innovating and adapting to the dynamics of science and societal needs. The Government Science Undergraduate Program is committed to strengthening the curriculum, research, and community service to remain relevant and impactful.
