Semarang, FISIP UNDIP — FISIP UNDIP alumni continue to demonstrate strategic roles across various sectors, including the national banking industry. Hari Agung Satya Wicaksana, S.Sos, commonly known as Satya, an alumnus of the International Relations Study Program at FISIP UNDIP, currently holds the position of Manager of Funding & Retail Transaction Sales at PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk.

Satya’s career journey reflects the continuity between academic experience, campus activism, and professional work ethic. Since graduating in 2019, he joined a national banking talent development program and progressively assumed various strategic positions in retail payment, merchant relationships, and financial transactions across several regions in Indonesia.

In an alumni interview, Satya explained that his International Relations background provided a distinct advantage, particularly in negotiation, policy analysis, strategic communication, and understanding actor relationships—competencies highly relevant for building networks of clients and business partners in the banking sector.

His organizational experience as Chairperson of the International Relations Student Association (HMHI) and Head of the External Partnership Division at the UNDIP Student Executive Board (BEM) helped shape his leadership capacity and decision-making skills. According to him, campus organizational dynamics serve as an effective “social laboratory” for training conflict management, teamwork, and collective responsibility.

“Working in the banking industry isn’t just about numbers; it’s also about trust, communication, and relationships. I deeply feel those values were instilled in me since my time at FISIP,” he said.

Satya also highlighted the importance of students’ readiness to face technological changes and digital systems in the financial sector. He encouraged students to strengthen their data literacy, presentation skills, and professional ethics to remain competitive in an increasingly digitalized industry.

Through alumni stories like Satya’s, FISIP UNDIP continues to affirm its role as a learning environment that shapes not only academic knowledge but also the character and leadership competencies of its graduates.
