Semarang, September 27, 2025 – Ahmad Wahyu Saputra, a student from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Diponegoro, has been selected to participate in an international student exchange program at the University of Pécs in Hungary. The program will span five months, from September 1, 2025, to January 25, 2026, during the odd semester of the 2025/2026 academic year.
As an exchange student, Ahmad will be enrolled in three key courses within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, totaling 24 credits:
- Geography of Elections (8 credits), which examines political distributions, voter behavior, and election dynamics across various countries.
- Latin America from the Cold War up to the Present (8 credits), which delves into the political, economic, and social history of Latin America from the Cold War era to the present day.
- Geopolitics (8 credits), which explores the influence of geography on international relations, global political strategy, and world power dynamics.
During the program, Ahmad will not only focus on his academic pursuits but will also actively participate in various international cultural and social activities organized by the university. These events, which involve students from numerous countries, will provide him with a platform to introduce Indonesian culture, interact with a global community, and expand his academic and social networks.
“This exchange opportunity is incredibly valuable for me. Besides studying global political issues from an international perspective, I can also share Indonesian culture with students from around the world. This experience broadens my horizons and inspires me to continue developing myself,” stated Ahmad Wahyu Saputra.
This student exchange program aligns with Universitas Diponegoro FISIP’s vision of becoming a World-Class University, as it supports the institution’s internationalization efforts, expands its global network, and enhances students’ academic and social competencies. Ahmad’s participation at the University of Pécs is expected to serve as an example and motivation for other students to actively seek overseas learning opportunities and become ambassadors for their nation on the international stage.***
