Sunday, October 12, 2025 — The Research and Scientific Division of the FISIP Undip 2025 Student Executive Board (BEM) successfully organized the Diponegoro Social Political Competition 10th Anniversary Edition (DSPC 10th Anniversary Edition). DSPC is an annual national-level competition designed to serve as a platform for university and high school students across Indonesia to enhance their analytical, logical, and systematic thinking skills in responding to national phenomena.

This year’s edition introduced the Internal Cup, a special competition exclusively for FISIP Undip students. As part of the DSPC series, the Internal Cup aims to provide a dedicated space for students to hone their debating skills, critical thinking, and understanding of social and political issues.

The competition featured three main events: an essay contest for active diploma and undergraduate students nationwide, a public speaking competition for FISIP Undip students, and a debate competition for high school students. All events were conducted in a hybrid format from September to October 2025.

The program aims to serve as a platform for youth, particularly high school students, FISIP Undip students, and university students across Indonesia, to gain experience and develop critical thinking skills in writing and dialectics. It also seeks to foster critical and solution-oriented reasoning, contributing to the future of Indonesia and its younger generation.

The event was attended by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, S. Rouli Manalu, S.Sos., MCommSt., Ph.D.; the Supervisor of Academic and Student Affairs, Kris Retno Gayatri, S.T.; the 2025 BEM FISIP Undip Advisor, Damaris Bernike Bellastuti, M.A.; and the 2025 BEM FISIP Undip President and Vice President, Muhammad Daffa Alfirrosy and Satrio Gilang Fatturohman.

Under the theme “The Unwritten Chapters: Create Our Own Destiny,” the DSPC 10th Anniversary Edition was held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the FISIP Undip Theater Room, and on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the FISIP Undip Auditorium. The first event, the Internal Cup, took place on October 4 from 13:00 to 17:00 GMT+7. This public speaking competition featured delegates from each study program, showcasing their oratory skills, critical thinking, and understanding of socio-political issues.

The Main Event, held on October 12 at the FISIP Undip Auditorium, ran from 07:00 to 16:00 GMT+7. It began with the Grand Finals of the debate and essay competitions, following online preliminary rounds. Finalists from high schools across Indonesia demonstrated their debating prowess and critical awareness of socio-political issues, while top essay contestants from universities presented their work.

The event concluded with a National Talk Show titled “Ngerti Dulu, Baru Gerak” (Understand First, Then Act). The session featured Dr. H. Hendrar Prihadi, S.E., M.M., Mayor of Semarang (2013–2022), as the on-site speaker, and H. Ganjar Pranowo, S.H., M.IP., Governor of Central Java (2013–2023), who participated online. The talk show emphasized the strategic role of youth in shaping the nation’s future through inclusive public policies. Participants were encouraged to engage actively in transparent, accountable, and community-oriented decision-making processes.

Through inspirational leadership insights, the event highlighted the importance of integrity and social responsibility as foundations for meaningful change. Participants were urged to move beyond discourse and take concrete steps as agents of socio-political transformation. The program also connected local and national perspectives, illustrating how grassroots initiatives can contribute significantly to national development.
