October 4, 2025 – The “Gigs Asik Malam Minggu” (Fun Weekend Night Gig), popularly known as GAMAL, was held by the Department of Interests and Talents of the Communication Science Student Association (HMPS) at FISIP Undip. This year’s event carried the theme “Sonic Bloom: The Nostalgic Pop Rock Rave,” drawing inspiration from SCTV’s iconic music program, “Inbox.”

The Saturday night at Converso Coffee & Eatery was filled with pre-2015 Indonesian hits, instantly transporting the audience on a nostalgic journey. The crowd enthusiastically sang along and danced to timeless tunes from legendary bands such as Dewa 19, Sheila on 7, Armada, Vierra, and many more.

The event commenced at 5:45 PM, featuring opening performances by bands from various departments: The Pub’s (Public Administration), De Internazionale (International Relations), Aksenara (Communication Science), and the band from Government Studies. The night grew even more vibrant and exciting with special guest performances by Sakutala, 4AM, and The Silas. The festivities concluded at 11:15 PM with a DJ set accompanied by a mini firework party.

GAMAL is not just an entertainment event for the public but also serves as a platform to showcase the musical community within Undip, particularly from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. Beyond the musical acts, attendees enjoyed various activity booths, including a photobooth, bracelet-making, tarot card readings, free temporary tattoos, and a ticket booth for the upcoming Fisiphoria event.

Several media partners supported GAMAL, namely indieswknd, socgigs, radiogaul, Kafe Lima Oz, and Warkop Soemini, with additional support from Indoprinting. This event was open to the public, free of charge, inviting everyone to enjoy a memorable Saturday night at Converso Coffee & Eatery.
