Semarang, September 26, 2025 – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Universitas Diponegoro held a Socialization Event for the Equity Program for the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings 2025. This activity is part of Undip’s internationalization strategy aimed at strengthening its global competitiveness while contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The event was officially opened by the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., who emphasized the importance of a planned approach in realizing campus internationalization. “Internationalization activities are important and must be carried out in a planned and proper manner. The most accessible instrument is the Academic Expertise Cluster (Kelompok Bidang Keahlian/KBK). KBKs are measurable, and their members are already structured within each cluster so they can remind and inform one another, thus enabling the achievement of targets,” he stated.

This was followed by remarks from the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, S Rouli Manalu, S.Sos., MCommSt., PhD., who explained that through this program, Undip not only secures funding outside the World Class University (WCU) scheme but also receives stimulus funds intended to strengthen its performance and international recognition. “Simultaneously, we are also demonstrating our commitment to the SDGs. This equity fund is essentially also directed to support internationalization,” she explained.

In the main session, the speaker, Bangkit Aditya Wiryawan, S.Sos., M.A., Ph.D., who is also the Chair of the International Office of FISIP Undip, presented material regarding the guidelines, strategies, and opportunities offered by the Equity Program. This program is a strategic initiative of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology through the allocation of the Permanent Endowment Fund for Higher Education, with the goal of enhancing the reputation and international rankings of Indonesian universities, including the QS World University Rankings (QS WUR) and the THE Impact Rankings.

The event concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session between participants and the resource speaker, which affirmed the academic community’s enthusiasm for actively contributing to supporting Undip’s internationalization targets.

Through this event, FISIP Undip demonstrates a strong commitment to supporting Undip’s transformation into a globally reputable university based on sustainability and tangible contributions to sustainable development.***
