Semarang, 19 April 2025 – The Sakutala FISIP UNDIP Activity Implementation Unit (UPK) successfully held its annual programme entitled Sakutala Charity: We Are One, Unity for Humanity at the Al-Firdaus Orphanage in Tembalang.

This event was attended by 77 participants from Sakutala and FISIP UNDIP students, together with the children of the Al-Firdaus Orphanage. With the theme We Are One, this event emphasised that music is a universal language that can unite people regardless of their background.

The Chief Executive, Ersee Maesa Manuella, said that this event was not just entertainment, but a tangible form of social awareness among students. “Through music and togetherness, we want to show that solidarity can be realised in creative and enjoyable ways,” she said.

The series of events was lively, beginning with speeches from the committee, the orphanage, and the Chair of Sakutala FISIP UNDIP. This was followed by various interactive games, a joint music jam session, and the handover of donations and food packages. In addition to entertaining, this activity also aimed to foster sympathy, improve the positive image of UNDIP students, and strengthen relationships with the surrounding community.

The Chairperson of UPK Sakutala FISIP UNDIP 2025, Muhammad Ariq Dzakwan, hopes that this activity can become an annual tradition that not only introduces the name Sakutala more widely but also has a positive impact on the community. The event concluded with a collaborative music performance and a warm group photo session, leaving a lasting impression on all participants and the children at the orphanage.***
