Student organizations require high-quality board members to effectively carry out their functions and objectives. For this reason, Unit Pelaksana Kegiatan Persekutuan Mahasiswa Kristen Protestan (UPK PMKP) FISIP UNDIP organized the 2025 Internal Upgrading of Board Members (IUP) with the theme “Iron Sharpens Iron, One Person Sharpens Another,” adapted from Amsal 27:17.
The Internal Upgrading of Board Members is a capacity-building program aimed at enhancing the competence and quality of UPK PMKP FISIP UNDIP board members. This activity focuses on leadership training, discussions, and experience-sharing sessions to sharpen skills in communication, collaboration, work efficiency, and the use of technology in organizational administration and finance.
This activity was initiated by UPK PMKP FISIP UNDIP, with faculty advisor Renata Jati Nirmala, S.IAN., MPA. The event was led by Rachel Tesalonika Tari Pandiangan as the head organizer, supported by a committee from various divisions. Participants included all 50 board members of PMKP FISIP UNDIP. The Internal Upgrading was held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 08:30 – 15:00 WIB in Room B.203, Building B, 2nd Floor, FISIP UNDIP.
As a platform for both spiritual growth and non-academic skill development, PMKP FISIP UNDIP requires board members who not only possess technical abilities but also Christian integrity and character. Through this activity, board members are expected to:
- Sharpen communication and team collaboration skills.
- Improve productivity and time management.
- Develop innovation and utilize technology.
- Become Christian role models with integrity, love, and humility.
With the philosophy of “iron sharpens iron,” each board member is given the opportunity to hone each other’s potential, strengthen solidarity, and build a strong and adaptive organization.
The event was held offline, featuring material presentations, discussion sessions, interactive games, and Q&A with the speakers. The program was designed to ensure participants not only received knowledge but also actively engaged with one another. The activity was entirely self-funded, with a contribution of Rp175,000 per participant allocated for meals.
The Internal Upgrading of PMKP FISIP UNDIP 2025 is not merely an annual program but a strategic investment to prepare competent and integrity-driven leaders who can make a positive impact on the organization, students, and the campus environment. Through this activity, PMKP FISIP UNDIP is expected to continue growing as a platform for faith development, service, and personal growth for Christian students at Diponegoro University.
