TAWANGMANGU – In an effort to accelerate rural economic independence, the BizFlare student group from the Business Administration Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Diponegoro University, held a strategic empowerment initiative by inviting representatives from farmer groups in Sekipan Village, Tawangmangu, Karanganyar, on Saturday and Sunday (07/26–27/2025). This program is part of the 2025 World Class University agenda of FISIP UNDIP, designed to integrate students’ managerial expertise with the potential of the local agrarian sector.

Present as an SDG-driven group, BizFlare focused its activities on assisting with business governance, supply chain efficiency, and marketing innovation for farmers in Sekipan Village. This step was taken as a concrete effort to realize SDG Point 8, which is to promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment, and decent work for all. By providing comprehensive business literacy to farmer groups, BizFlare seeks to shift the mindset from traditional farming to modern, highly competitive agribusiness in the digital market.

Through a collaborative approach over the two days, the FISIP UNDIP Business Administration students not only provided theoretical knowledge but also engaged in direct discussions with farmers to map out challenges in the distribution of agricultural products. This transformation is expected to significantly boost productivity in the agricultural sector, while simultaneously ensuring that economic growth in Sekipan Village aligns with improving the welfare of the farmers who are the backbone of the village economy.
