Thru sustainable innovation, GalGreen turns waste into a useful and environmentally friendly business opportunity. The participants were very entusiastic during this session and actively discussed and asked questions. The activity continued with a practical workshop on making products from used cooking oil, led directly by the GalGreen team. Participants were devided into groups to create soap and aromatherapy from used oil that had been hygienically processed. Each participant took home their crafts as a tangible experience in managing waste into marketable items.

After the workshop session, participants were taken on a tour of the Tanasurga area to see firsthand the implementation of ecotourism and organic waste management there. The event concluded with the presentation of souvenirs to GalGreen and Tanasurga as a token of appreciation, followed by a group photo session with all participants and organizers. Before returning to Semarang, all participants enjoyed lunch. The Si Nomi 2025 activity is a real reflection of how students can play a role as agents of change, not only in the fiels of entrepreneurship but also in preserving the environment. With the spirit of innovation, this activity opens participants’ perspectives to see waste as potential, not just a problem. The hope is that this activity will continue to inspire young generations to create sustainable businesses that have a positive impact on the wider community.
