I am both delighted and honored to have had the opportunity to serve as a delegate at the International Youth Innovation Summit (IYIS) Chapter 10, held from April 21–25, 2025, in Singapore and Malaysia. This opportunity was granted to me after successfully passing the selection process organized by Global Youthpreneur Nusantara, where I was accepted through the Special Funded scheme.
The program brought together participants from various educational institutions across Indonesia who share the same enthusiasm for innovation and collaboration. Prior to departure, my team and I had already begun collaborating to design the innovation project we would later present. This preparatory stage became an important experience in developing inter-institutional cooperation while strengthening group communication skills.
My journey began with departure to Singapore, where all delegates gathered for the first time and were assigned into working groups. We also had the chance to explore iconic landmarks such as the Merlion Statue and the National University of Singapore (NUS) before continuing on to Malaysia.
In Malaysia, the program agenda became even more diverse. We visited significant sites including the Malacca Heritage Site, Kuala Lumpur Twin Towers, KLCC, Central Market, and the National Art Gallery (Balai Seni Negara). These visits not only broadened our understanding of culture and history but also enriched our learning experiences beyond the classroom.
The highlight of the summit took place in Kuala Lumpur, where my team and I presented the innovation project we had designed prior to departure. The presentation competition was a valuable opportunity to practice communication skills, critical thinking, and the delivery of creative ideas. I am deeply grateful that our team succeeded in winning two prestigious awards: 2nd Place Best Project Innovation and the Best Team Award.
For me, this experience was profoundly meaningful. It not only brought pride and recognition but also expanded my professional network, sharpened my creativity, and fostered a spirit of inter-institutional collaboration among Indonesian youth.***
