Navigating the Ocean to Eradicate Crime: UNDIP Students Campaign for Marine Crime Prevention at Maritime Expo 2024

Semarang, December 6, 2024 – Expo Maritime Crime is an event to develop the potential of student creativity among students of International Relations, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Diponegoro University (UNDIP).

This activity is the inaugural event of the 2022 Final Semester Examination project in the International Crimes in the Maritime Sector course. The event’s theme was “Navigate the Ocean, Eradicate Crime”.

The Maritime Crime Expo was organized to encourage student self-development through fun and informative learning media, with art performances and booths displayed on display during the expo.

This Expo took place on December 6, 2024 at the PKM Room FISIP Undip, starting at 09.00 to 15.00 WIB. This activity was organized by Lecturers of International Crimes in the Maritime Field, namely Muhammad Arief Zuliyan, S.IP., LL.M. and Muhammad Faizal Alfian, S.IP., M.A. and the event was opened by the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono., M.Pol.Admin,

The Maritime Expo was opened to the public to encourage understanding and creativity among students through various activities as a form of concern for the marine environment and a campaign to prevent crime at sea.

In this activity, students directly learn and introduce marine environmental issues through musical drama performances and expo exhibitions of various maritime crime issues. Visitors can find a variety of interesting booths resulting from student creativity, ranging from games and educational booths. In enlivening the maritime expo, at the end of the event, there was an awarding session to appreciate the creativity and best works of students including nominations for Best Female Actor, Best Male Actor, Best Performance, and Best Booth Expo.
