FISIP Undip, Semarang (2/13) – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) once again organized a significant event involving various elements of society, academics, and religious organizations. On Thursday, February 13, 2025, FISIP Undip, in collaboration with the Central Java Regional Management of Nahdlatul Ulama (PWNU), held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) titled Inisiasi Peta Jalan Kelembagaan NU Jawa Tengah untuk Kemaslahatan Bangsa Menuju Indonesia Emas 2045 (Initiating the Institutional Roadmap for NU Central Java for the Nation’s Welfare Toward Golden Indonesia 2045).
The FGD, held in the Senate Meeting Room of FISIP Undip, aimed to achieve several objectives, including discussing a relevant roadmap for the role and contribution of NU as part of civil society in social transformation, formulating a strategic agenda for NU in facing social, political, and economic changes in Indonesia, encouraging the involvement of various groups, both within NU and the general public, in supporting NU’s social agendas and identifying challenges faced by NU in driving social transformation while seeking the best solutions to address them.
The event was attended by prominent speakers from academia, community leaders, and PWNU Central Java officials. The series of in-depth discussions began with remarks from the Secretary of Senate FISIP Undip, Dzunuwanus Ghulam Manar, S.IP, M.Si., who, representing the Dean of FISIP Undip, emphasized the importance of collaboration between academia and community organizations in creating a concrete roadmap to achieve Golden Indonesia 2045. He stressed that the ideas developed in academia must have a direct positive impact on society, particularly in strengthening NU’s role as an organization that has made significant contributions to the nation’s development.
Next, the Chairman of PWNU Central Java, H. Abdul Ghaffar Rozin, in his presentation, stated that the institutional roadmap for NU in Central Java would be designed to address the challenges NU faces in driving social transformation and to find the best solutions to overcome these challenges.
The FGD focused on three strategic clusters: the first cluster, Pesantren, NU, and the State; the second cluster, Law, Community Empowerment, Macroeconomics, Democracy, and Public Policy; and the third cluster, Ecology, Education, Institutional Transformation, Resource Management, and Technology.
The importance of synergy between academic thought and practical policies in the context of NU was also highlighted. FGD participants recognized that achieving the nation’s welfare requires collective agreement among various societal elements, including the education sector, religious institutions, and the government. In this regard, NU is expected to serve as a bridge between government policies and community needs, particularly in the fields of social welfare, religion, and culture.
The event concluded with the signing of a cooperation agreement between FISIP Undip and PWNU Central Java, as well as closing remarks from the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin. He expressed hope that this initiative would continue, resulting in strategic steps that can be implemented in the long term. FISIP Undip and PWNU Central Java are committed to jointly contributing to the realization of Golden Indonesia 2045 through constructive ideas that can be translated into concrete actions at the national level.
With the initiation of this institutional roadmap for NU in Central Java, it is hoped that closer collaboration between academia and religious organizations will be established, enabling the grand vision of Golden Indonesia 2045 to be achieved more effectively.
