The Appointment of FISIP Undip Student Organizations 2025: A Platform for Leadership Development and the Reinforcement of Student Ethics

Semarang (12/02) – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) held the Appointment Ceremony of FISIP Undip Student Organizations (Ormawa) for the Year 2025 on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, in the Auditorium on the 3rd floor of Building A FISIP Undip, Tembalang Campus. The event emphasized the importance of active participation in organizations as a means of leadership development and communication, and strengthening student ethics. The ceremony was attended by the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., faculty leaders, Ormawa advisors, as well as the chairs and members of FISIP Undip’s student organizations.

In his speech, the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., emphasized that organizational involvement is a crucial training ground for students. “Being active is about practising performance, leadership, communication, coordination, and emotional and spiritual growth. By being active, you will communicate with others and build relationships,” he stated. He also encouraged students to view organizations as a learning platform and stressed the importance of upholding ethics and morals in interactions with fellow students, lecturers, and administrative staff.

Additionally, the Chair of the FISIP Student Executive Board (BEM) for the 2025 term, Muhammad Daffa Alfirrosy, expressed gratitude for the support from all students. “Our hope moving forward, together with Sadewa, is to take concrete steps in serving the needs of students,” he said. Daffa also emphasized the importance of maturity in making future decisions.

Furthermore, the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, S Rouli Manalu, S.Sos., MCommSt., PhD., provided technical guidance on organizational involvement. She stated that the Ormawa functionaries represent the 5,500 students of FISIP Undip. “You are the agents who voice the interests of students in your respective study programs,” she said. Rouli Manalu also highlighted the importance of mobilization and outreach to all students, as well as the commitment to organizational participation.

The Appointment of FISIP Undip Student Organizations for 2025 marks an important moment in building student leadership and ethics. With a spirit of collaboration and strong commitment, it is hoped that FISIP Undip’s Ormawa will serve as an effective platform for realizing student aspirations and needs while contributing positively to the advancement of FISIP Undip.
