Semarang (2/4) – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) held its 177th Yudisium Ceremony on Tuesday, January 4, 2025. The second session, which took place in the Auditorium Room, 3rd Floor of Building A, FISIP Undip, Tembalang, was attended by 169 prospective graduates from the Departments of Public Administration and Business Administration. This event marked an important milestone for graduates to celebrate their academic achievements while receiving valuable messages from parents and faculty members.
In the academic report delivered by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs, S Rouli Manalu, S.Sos., MCommSt., PhD, it was stated that the second session was attended by 4 prospective Doctoral (S3) graduates in Public Administration, 13 Master’s (S2) graduates in Public Administration, 8 Master’s (S2) graduates in Business Administration, 82 Bachelor’s (S1) graduates in Public Administration, 22 Bachelor’s (S1) graduates in Public Administration from the Satellite Campus (PSDKU) in Rembang, and 40 Bachelor’s (S1) graduates in Business Administration. He congratulated the graduates and emphasized that the professional world is a place for continuous learning and growth. “This world needs fresh ideas, new enthusiasm, and creative energy,” she remarked, encouraging graduates not to fear challenges.
Muthia Fatika Rachman, a prospective graduate from the Undergraduate Business Administration Program, delivered a speech on behalf of the graduating students. She expressed her gratitude and pride in earning her degree. “This degree is not merely additional letters after our names, but proof that the knowledge we have gained is a gift that we will carry with pride,” she said. Muthia also extended her appreciation to lecturers, parents, and friends who had supported their academic journey.
A key message was delivered by a representative of the graduates’ parents, Mr. Jadiaman Situmorang, who reminded the graduates to remain humble and uphold the values of unity. He urged them to commit to contributing to society and the nation while preparing themselves mentally and academically for future challenges. “Your success is our happiness as parents,” he stated, emphasizing the importance of honesty and integrity in achieving success.
In his speech, the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., reminded the graduates that their success would not have been possible without the support of many parties, including the faculty members who had guided them. He also highlighted FISIP Undip’s outstanding achievements, ranking as the second-best faculty of social and political sciences in Indonesia according to the 2024 EduRank assessment and placing in the top 500+ globally based on the QS World University Rankings. Additionally, Dr. Teguh introduced several new facilities at FISIP Undip, such as the coworking space, PKM Student Coworking Space, the newly renovated library, and the upcoming construction of a Shared Lecture Building.
The event concluded with a musical performance of the song Ayah by the Dean, which added to the celebratory atmosphere of the 177th Yudisium Ceremony at FISIP Undip. This moment served as a reminder for graduates to cherish their long academic journey and to face the future with renewed enthusiasm.
