Semarang (01/20) – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) served as the host for the 2024 Christmas Celebration of the Christian Fellowship (PUK) at Undip on Friday, January 17, 2025. The event, themed “Giving My Best,” was inspired by the Gospel of Matthew 2:11 and aimed to encourage the entire academic community of Undip to reflect on and apply the essence of wholehearted giving in life, particularly in education, research, and community service. This theme aligns with Undip’s vision, encapsulated in the slogan “Undip Noble! Undip Valuable!”

The series of events commenced with a pilgrimage to the Universitas Diponegoro family cemetery, followed by a Christmas service held in the Auditorium Room, 3rd Floor of Building A, at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Undip, Tembalang. The service was attended by more than 250 participants, including lecturers, administrative staff, students, and retirees. Among the distinguished guests were the Rector of Universitas Diponegoro, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, SE, M.Si., the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., and the Chairperson of PUK Undip, Prof. Ir. Didik Wisnu Widjajanto, M.Sc., Ph.D.

In his remarks, the Rector of Undip emphasized the university’s commitment to fostering synergy and inclusivity in both academic and non-academic activities. “Through this Christmas celebration, we hope to strengthen the values of fellowship and encourage the entire academic community to give their best, both in their academic responsibilities and in daily life,” stated Prof. Suharnomo.

The solemn Christmas service concluded with a lively performance by the Christian Fellowship’s Dharmawanita group and PUK Undip members. Moving forward, FISIP Undip remains committed to leading and supporting similar events, reinforcing the bonds among members of the academic community, and ensuring that the values of unity and inclusivity continue to serve as the foundation for all campus activities. In doing so, FISIP Undip not only contributes to academic development but also plays a role in character building and fostering a spirit of collaboration within Undip.
