Semarang (12/20) – The establishment of excellent laboratories is a cornerstone in supporting student achievements, advancing the vision of internationalization, and ensuring the societal impact of educational institutions. With well-equipped facilities and effective laboratory management, institutions can enhance their global reputation while fostering a conducive learning environment. In this spirit, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Universitas Bengkulu conducted a visit and signed a cooperation agreement with the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) on Thursday, December 19, 2024. The event took place in the BRM Antawirya meeting room, Building A, 1st Floor, FISIP Undip Campus, Tembalang.
The delegation from FISIP Universitas Bengkulu, led directly by the Dean, Dr. Yunilisiah, M.Si., was warmly welcomed by the Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., along with the leadership team of FISIP Undip. In her remarks, Dr. Yunilisiah expressed her gratitude for the warm reception and shared her hope to learn from FISIP Undip’s experiences in laboratory management.
Dr. Yunilisiah highlighted the purpose of the visit, which was to gain insights into the experiences, management mechanisms, and funding sources that FISIP Undip employs to enhance laboratory performance.
In his speech, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., shared the vision and achievements of FISIP Undip that could serve as inspiration for partner universities. He elaborated on several key initiatives, including the Pro-Reputation, Pro-Internationalization, Pro-Student Achievement, Pro-Student Services, and Pro-Societal Impact programs.
“What is the value of our greatness if it does not benefit others? What is the meaning of our excellence if it does not serve our students? What truly matters is the impact we have on our students,” he emphasized.
The event concluded with discussions on laboratory development and the signing of a Cooperation Agreement, marking a shared commitment between FISIP Universitas Bengkulu and FISIP Undip to exchange knowledge, experiences, and resources for mutual progress. This collaboration is expected to serve as a foundation for establishing world-class laboratories capable of supporting global education development.
