Bibliometric Training for Master’s Students in Public Administration at FISIP UNDIP

Semarang, November 21, 2024 – The Public Policy Data Analysis Laboratory of the Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro (FISIP UNDIP), successfully conducted a bibliometric training session for Master’s students in the Public Administration program.

The training aimed to provide students with an understanding of how to use Bibliometrix and BiblioShiny software for bibliometric analysis based on Scopus data. Bibliometric analysis is a quantitative method used to study scientific literature, research trends, researcher collaborations, and citation networks.

The session was delivered by Muhammad Nurul Huda, SAP, MPA, as the trainer. He explained practical steps for using Bibliometrix and BiblioShiny in R Studio, enabling students to gain deeper insights into research data. Leveraging advanced technology, the software facilitates the analysis and interpretation of research outcomes.

This training aims to enhance students’ skills in bibliometric analysis, which is highly relevant in supporting scientific research and enriching their understanding of academic dynamics and scholarly networks.

The event is part of the Public Policy Data Analysis Laboratory’s efforts to strengthen students’ competencies in data analysis using advanced technologies, aligning with the evolving needs of modern research.
