Semarang, September 23, 2024 – Another remarkable achievement has been made by a student of Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) on the national stage. A student from the Communication Science Program of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) has secured third place in the Women’s Team Karate Kata category at the XXI National Sports Week (PON) held in Aceh and North Sumatra.

The student, Fatchiatuz Zahra, representing the Central Java contingent, delivered an outstanding performance alongside her team in this prestigious event. They successfully overcame strong opponents from various regions before ultimately winning the bronze medal in a spirited and tense competition.

This achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work demonstrated by the karate athletes, particularly the women’s team from Central Java. As a FISIP Undip student, Zahra’s accomplishment not only brings pride to herself but also to her alma mater and the entire academic community of Undip.
