Semarang (September 27) – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Diponegoro University (Undip) continues to foster a spirit of entrepreneurship among young people in an effort to support one of the pillars of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): promoting inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all. This is realized through the inauguration of an Entrepreneurship Laboratory designed to support student learning and encourage them to become innovative and competitive entrepreneurs.
FISIP Undip held a joint aerobics session and the inauguration of the Entrepreneurship Laboratory at the FISIP Undip Campus, Tembalang. The joint aerobics activity is part of a routine activity that can be participated in by all members of the Undip academic community, with FISIP as the host this month. The event was attended by the Rector of Undip, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., and university leaders.
In addition to exercising together, this event also marked an important moment with the inauguration of various new facilities to support learning in the FISIP environment. Prof. Suharnomo officially opened the Vertical Garden, the Entrepreneurship Laboratory (Lab. KWU) for Business Administration, and Mile Cafe. “From FISIP, we often get something new and innovative,” said Prof. Suharnomo in his remarks, highlighting the various innovations that have been carried out by FISIP. He also praised various areas in FISIP that were considered very “Instagram-able” and “TikTok-able,” which could become an inspiration for other faculties.
The Business Administration Laboratory inaugurated this time includes a Food and Beverages (F&B) Laboratory with two flagship brands, namely Yuwondong, which serves various Korean street food menu options, and Teh Pak Blangkon. In addition, Prof. Suharnomo also inaugurated the Bizz. Fussion Hub Laboratory, which will later produce various merchandise such as T-shirts, hoodies, varsity jackets, hats, and tote bags. These laboratories are expected to become practical learning spaces for students to hone their entrepreneurial skills.
Prof. Suharnomo concluded his remarks with the hope that the various new facilities at FISIP would contribute to achieving international achievements. “Hopefully, the good facilities at FISIP will relate to international achievements,” he concluded. FISIP, according to him, is always one step ahead and ready to be a benchmark for other faculties at Undip.
The Dean of FISIP Undip, Dr. Teguh Yuwono, also expressed his appreciation for the presence of these new facilities. In his remarks, he emphasized that the Vertical Garden which was inaugurated also supports FISIP’s efforts to achieve the Green Metric target, an initiative to create an environmentally friendly campus.
Furthermore, this activity not only strengthens the academic and entrepreneurial aspects of FISIP Undip but also demonstrates the faculty’s commitment to supporting the national economy through innovation and the entrepreneurial spirit.
